Peter Deffenbacher's Maiden Sail on M-15 "Peanut" 2003 #618
Photos supplied by Peter Deffenbacher and First Mate

There are some good shots of the latest M-15 features below.

Here is Peanut ready to get wet for the first time at Hagg Lake, Oregon on August 31,2003. My lady friend Judi really kept me on track with this project and is the photographer for most of it! The trailer pulled beautifully (Pacific Trailer 1200 W/13 inch wheels).

Another view of Peanut at Hagg Lake before she ever got wet.

Rigged in the parking lot and ready to go (Oh Dear!).

Me motoring out, the winds were at about 15-20 mph so we didn't raise the sails this time (I haven't sailed for awhile). This being Labor Day weekend it was very busy on the ramp.

Looking aft and motoring.

A look over the bow under power.

Looking aft again under power.

The dock ramp is in view but we've been running for 1.5 hours at half throttle waiting to get back in and all the boats are just sitting there or going up and down the ramp can we make it?

Looking at the cockpit from inside the cabin. Peanut felt very solid at all times and I got the feeling of her tiller under power. I just can't wait to raise the sails!!!

Another shot from over the stern. Just waiting to get in. I did nail a perfect docking, crabbing all the way in with the wind at almost right angle to the docks. I love this Honda 2hp-4S-LS, first pull starting saved us at the launch and it brought us back to the dock.
